Cultural Competency "Iowa's Rapidly Changing Demographics: Implications for Substance Abuse and Public Health Professionals" Webinar Training
This is a webinar training where participants will log in from their own computer for an one and half hour web-based session.
This is a free webinar training, compliments of the Bureau of Substance Abuse Division of Behavioral Health in the Iowa Department of Public Health.
Building the foundation for future webinars and a follow-up at the Governor's Conference on Substance Abuse, this webinar will explore the diverse makeup of Iowa's people and how it applies to prevention services across Iowa. This presentation will focus primarily on demographic changes and shifts in the population, based on race, age, urbanization, class, and what the implications are for us in operating and developing public health policies and programs.

Most of the content is in video format by using wmv files. Since these files are quite large, you may experience a lengthy download time depending on the capacity of your computer. However, once they have been downloaded, they should open more quickly.
